More Info - This course will introduce students to writing fantasy fiction. Students will explore the genre and the elements of a fantasy story or book, while looking at aspects of writing fantasy through character and world building. Instructor Bio - Debbie Ledesma has been writing Fantasy fiction since 1987, working on several novels and stories. In 1998 she became contributing editor to the Fantasy Worlds site at Suite101.com, writing biweekly nonfiction articles on the Fantasy genre consisting of book reviews, author interviews, articles on authors, and other articles on various aspects of the genre and contributes monthly articles to Epic SF and Fantasy site (www.epicsff.com). She developed the Fantasy Fiction Appreciation class at Suite University. Also, she writes a monthly E-mail newsletter on Fantasy tied into the Fantasy Worlds site. In between all this, she continues working on her fiction and works as an instructional assistant and transition specialist in Special Education at a local high school.
