Instructor
Contract
The
Instructor agrees to the following:
- Develop
a course curriculum including course outline, description, lessons,
checks for understanding and/or testing and all other related
course materials for their proposed subject(s).
- Provide
CourseBridge with all of these course materials or with access
to them.
- Maintain
and make available their e-mail address.
- Check
their e-mail at least once a day and answer student queries within
24 hours. (With the exception of weekends and national holidays)
- Provide
an Instructor profile.
- Keep
their course(s) up-to-date.
- Act
as Instructor for their course(s) throughout the duration of each
course session.
- Give
CourseBridge sufficient notice of an upcoming absence as to close
registration for the Instructor's course(s) during session(s)
of absence.
- Be
aware of and prepared for the start dates for each course session.
- Start
their course(s) on the given date for each course session.
- No
minimum number of registered students is required to conduct each
course.
- Coursebridge
can not guarantee the number of students that a course may receive.
- Instructors
are contracted for one year from the date of signing with the
option to renew.
- Should
an instructor wish to terminate their contract with CourseBridge
they must provide a 60 days written notice before withdrawing
their course(s).
- All
courses must be hosted by CourseBridge.
- Payment
is 70% of the registration fee per student, per session for the
Instructor's course(s) processed through CourseBridge, and 55%
for registrations processed through partner and affiliate sites.
Cheques are mailed no later than 14 days after the start date
of each course session. Instructors are hired as Independent Contractors
by CourseBridge.
- Should
a student cancel within the first week of the course the instructor
will receive payment for the first week only. This will be a prorated
amount based on the 70% instructor portion of the registration
fee. Students will not be reimbursed if they cancel after the
first week due to the nature of on-line learning.
- The
course(s) and all course materials remain the property of the
Instructor. The Instructor retains all rights to his/her course
material.
