Instructor FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)
How do I teach at CourseBridge?
Your course will reside at our server. Registered students will access their course via instant download in pdf format and submit their assignments to you via e-mail. You will be required to send them a welcome message once you've been notified of a registration, mark and provide feedback on their assignments in a timely fashion and check in with them periodically to see how they are doing and to offer encouragement.
How will I interact with my students?
Instructors will interact with students via e-mail.
How will I be compensated for teaching at CourseBridge?
Instructors are paid 70% of the base registration fee per student for the course(s) they teach and 55% for registrations processed through partner and affiliate sites.
How and when will I be paid?
Cheques in American (US) dollars will be sent by postal mail to instructors once per month. It is therefore important that instructors living outside of Canada and the USA are able to easily and cheaply cash American cheques. Instructors are responsible for any fees incurred for cashing their cheques. Instructors may opt to receive their payments via PayPal.
What are my rights to my course(s)?
Instructors own all rights to their course(s). Should an instructor wish to withdraw his/her course(s) from CourseBridge, we will delete it from our system and all of our files.
Can I offer my course(s) elsewhere?
Yes, instructors may offer their course(s) at other institutions if they so desire.
How will CourseBridge promote my course(s)?
CourseBridge will promote your course(s) online at various related web sites, newsgroups, forums, e-mail lists, online communities, etc. We will also ask our instructors to help promote their course(s) as they may know of certain niche markets related to their course(s) that we are unaware of.
How many students will I get?
CourseBridge cannot guarantee enrolment. As CourseBridge grows and becomes established in the online community, however, we expect our student base to grow as well.
